practically hopeless

long one about trying to compose a proper "why can't we be friends?" note to my ex about 2 weeks after i'd insulted him all over town and said he was a dirtbag and scum bucket, among other things. i also knew his current squeeze would be reading the letter and felt it was practically hopeless. i picked up a naked barbie doll and wrote "denial" or "denied" across her perfect breasts. i wondered, what would barbie do?
